# App Store

> Name, subtitle, description, screenshots, app icon, privacy details, review access and the language for subscriptions — everything that ends up in App Store Connect.

Source: https://brand.heyalbert.family/en/app-store/ · Hey Albert brand and design system

In the App Store parents decide, and children use the app with them. Both have to appear. The copy names the situation first and the feature second. No superlatives — Apple does not like them, and neither do we.

The app is published under the account of **Emma Rocket Ltd OOD** (team `YG75LZA4JP`), bundle prefix `com.emmarocket.albert`. One app for iPhone, iPad, Mac and Apple Watch, as a universal purchase.

> The subtitle is not decided. `docs/21` names „Albert zaubert, damit ihr Familie sein könnt.“ as the subtitle. That is 45 characters; 30 are allowed. The website uses „Er kümmert sich. Ihr dürft Familie sein.“ The founder picks a version that fits into 30 characters, per language.

## The description

The first sentence is visible without „more“. It is a scene, not a definition. Then come the areas as what they do in life, and at the end price and privacy in the clerk register (*Sachbearbeiter*).

> **Example**
>
> Friday, 18:40, the ride home from the tournament. Oma Grete signed up without a phone call.
>
> Albert is the family manager for your home. He plans the week with you and keeps everything together — appointments, drives, meals, homework, contracts, deadlines. For everyone who belongs to you.
>
> Every task has a name next to it. Everyone at home can see it, the children too. Lena is nine. She sees what is hers today and ticks it off herself.
>
> Albert suggests, you decide. Undo always works. Your data is stored in Frankfurt.

- English speaks to the family: *you*, never a single person.
- Every statement must be true at launch. What is not built yet does not go into the store.
- No word from the never list, no „AI“, no „smart“, no „automatic“.

## Screenshots

Real screens of the Sonntag family, one statement per image. Above the screen sits a short line in the narrator register, six words at most. The first three images decide, because only they appear in search.

| Device | Required size in App Store Connect | Our screens today |
|---|---|---|
| iPhone 6.9 inch | 1320 × 2868 px (or 1290 × 2796) | 780 × 1688, too small |
| iPad 13 inch | 2064 × 2752 px (or 2048 × 2732) | 1668 × 2388, too small |
| Mac | 16:10, e.g. 2880 × 1800 px | 2880 × 1800, fits |
| Apple Watch | per model, e.g. 422 × 514 px | 792 × 968, not on Apple’s list |

> **Note**
>
> These sizes are as of autumn 2026. Up to ten images per device and language, plus up to three preview videos. Check against Apple’s current list before uploading to App Store Connect. The store screens will be captured again, at full resolution, from the simulator with the Sonntag family seed.

**Proposed order**, from what already exists:

1. **Today** — „Oma Grete drives at 18:40.“
2. **Week** — „A name next to every task.“
3. **Inbox** (*Eingang*) — „The parents’ letter becomes a suggestion.“
4. **Children** — „Lena packs her own bag.“
5. **Meals** — „Wednesday, Sofia and Lena cook.“
6. **Important** (*Wichtiges*) — „Lena’s ID expires in March.“
7. **Watch** — „16:40 · Handball, Halle Süd.“

> **Don't**
>
> Screens without context, device mock-ups with gloss and perspective, children’s faces, invented ratings, „#1 family app“.

## App icon

The icon is the scribble ball in ink and pink on cream, without type. It must be recognisable without the name and still look like Albert at 29 points.

> **Open**
>
> A vector version of the logo is missing. The vectors that produce the app icon and favicon today are still dark green and need recolouring to ink and pink (`docs/22` §7). Until then there is no approved app icon for the store.

The current versions are in the chapter [Logo](/en/logo/).

## Privacy details

The details for Apple’s privacy label are in `docs/44-app-privacy.md`. The stance in three sentences:

1. Albert collects nothing the household has not entered itself. No tracking, no advertising IDs.
2. What does not need to leave the device does not leave it. Text recognition runs on the device.
3. Processors are in the EU; the database is in Frankfurt.

| Data type from phase 0 | Collected | Linked | Tracking |
|---|---|---|---|
| Name | yes | yes | no |
| Email address | yes | yes | no |
| User ID | yes | yes | no |
| Date of birth | yes | yes | no |
| Crash data | yes | no | no |

Tracking is „no“ throughout the table, without exception. Further data types are added with their phases.

- **Age rating:** aiming for 4+.
- **Not in the Kids category.** That category forbids things Albert needs for parents and requires a separation that contradicts the fifth principle.
- **Deleting the account** happens in the app, with two gates: a button, then typing the word „LÖSCHEN“ (delete).
- **Permissions** are requested only when needed. Never at launch, never in a bundle.

> **Open**
>
> `docs/44` names Anthropic as a processor for explicitly requested analyses and Cloudflare R2 as storage. `CLAUDE.md` and `docs/34` exclude US providers from the data path. Before submission it must be settled which state applies, and `docs/44` updated.

## Review access

Apple’s reviewers sign in with the seed household, the **Sonntag family**. It is also our example in every image.

- The password lives only in App Store Connect, never in the repository.
- The seed is complete: a week with open items, a suggestion in the inbox, Lena’s area with *Taler*.
- Note for reviewers: short, in the clerk register, with the path to every permission.

## Subscriptions and price

Albert is a subscription. The language for it is open and calm. A subscription costs something every month because Albert does something every month.

> **Do**
>
> „The first month costs €0.“ · „You pay Albert, nobody else.“ · „Cancel in your Apple device’s settings, with one tap.“

> **Don't**
>
> „Unlock premium“ · „Grab it now“ · „Today only“ · an asterisk on the price · „from €4.99“

- The sizes are named after scenes, not tiers.
- One subscription unlocks the whole household, on the server. Apple’s Family Sharing for the subscription stays off.
- The Small Business Program is applied for before launch.

> **Open**
>
> The documents contain two price models. `docs/24` §11: three sizes Tisch, Haus and Dorf (table, house, village) at €4.99, €8.99 and €12.99 a month, the first month €0. `docs/42`: monthly and yearly, €79.99 a year, 30-day trial. The founder decides before the in-app purchases are created.
